Blood of Christ Devotional Prayer Card
OUR LORD’S POWERFUL PROMISES
Our Lord Jesus Christ, in the 12th and 13th centuries, gave two powerful prayer devotions and promises to St. Elizabeth of Hungary, St. Matilda, St. Bridget and St. Bernard of Clairvaux.
To those who honor His 28,430 Drops of His Blood lost on His Way to Calvary, Jesus promised that those who shall recite for three years, each day, two Our Fathers, two Glory Bes and two Hail Marys, the following five graces:
1. The plenary indulgence and remittance of your sins.
2. You will be free from the pains of Purgatory.
3. If you should die before completing the said three years, for you it will be the same as if you had completed them.
4. It will be upon your death the same as if you had shed all your blood for the Holy Faith.
5. I will descend from Heaven to take your soul and that of your relatives, until the fourth generation.
To those who honor His Holy Shoulder Wound, Jesus told the saint that He would grant whatever they would ask “through its virtue and merit.” And He would remit to all who venerated it all their venial sins and would forget their mortal sins as well.
These two approved devotions of the Catholic Church are needed in our times more than ever before as we fight in the great battle of saving our souls and the souls of our beloved family members.
Prayer to Honor the Holy Shoulder Wound of Jesus
0 Loving Jesus, meek lamb of God, I, a miserable sinner, salute and worship the most Sacred Wound of Thy Shoulder on which Thou didst bear Thy heavy Cross, which so tore Thy flesh and laid bare Thy Bones as to inflict on Thee an anguish greater than any other wound of Thy Most Blessed Body. I adore Thee, 0 Jesus most sorrowful; I praise and glorify Thee, and give Thee thanks for this most sacred and painful Wound, beseeching Thee by that exceeding pain, and by the crushing burden of Thy heavy Cross to be merciful to me, a sinner, to forgive me all my mortal and venial sins.and to lead meon towards Heaven along the Way of Thy Cross. Amen.
Lord, through the vi rtue and merit of your Most Holy Shoulder Wound, I ask you for ______________ .
Pray Three Our Fathers, Three Glory Bes, Three Hail Marys.
