Veronica's Veil is a non-profit organization established shortly before Veronica Weldes’ passing on May 24, 2022 at the age of 89. 

Throughout her life, Veronica was deeply devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In fact, it was due to her efforts that The Enthronement Devotion became widespread in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Beginning in the 1990s she worked to distribute packets of Enthronement Materials and reached out to parishes in order to organize what were called “Enthronement Weekends.” 

This continued well into the 2010s and since founding this ministry, some 211,000 Enthronement Packages have been distributed to families!

Entrusted with continuing this — and more — valuable work, we have endeavored to make the many Catholic devotions she cherished — as well as several founded after her death — as relevant and accessible as possible to families in this day and age.

Why “Veronica’s Veil”?

Requesting meditation on the sixth station of the Way of the Cross, Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus, Jesus has said,

“Veronica was one with Holy Compassion and Holy Love. She was not fearful to step forward and comfort Me. I left with Her My mark of Divine Love. I desire all souls comfort Me in the tabernacles of the world.”

The sacred cloth that bears His “mark of Divine Love” is called “Veronica’s Veil”.

 Like her, our beloved Veronica was never timid in “stepping forward” to comfort others (and, hence, Jesus Himself) through her significant Enthronement Devotion evangelization, her personal introductions of inspirational works to so many and her enormously generous monetary gifts to the people and charities she held so dear. This newly established organization will carry her compassionate love into the future.
